NPS WiFi is accessible and available in most school parking lots, with the exception of Lake Taylor High (access is at Lake Taylor School) and Sewells Point Elementary (access is at Camp Allen Elementary). Families unable to access the internet can request MiFi hotspots from their school principal.

Portsmouth has invested in T-Mobile hotspots for families in need of internet access. Hotspots are limited to one per household and can be requested using the following form:

Suffolk |
In addition to Suffolk Public Schools' Resource Access Centers, the school division has also partnered with the city to provide Exterior Wireless Access Points in the parking lot of the following locations: Lakeland High School, the former Southwestern Elementary site parking lot, and the Whaleyville Recreation Center. Students can access the division's network from a vehicle in these locations. Suffolk Police Department will increase patrolling at these sites.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, Arts for Learning will Live Stream 10-minutes of content. Individuals can join at 2pm EST for a variety of music, dance, and storytelling. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, videos will be shared on-demand.
